John J. Steuby Co. Screw Machine Products, Precision Machined Products, Turned Parts and Precision Turned Parts -- Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  What makes John J. Steuby Co. different from other

Screw Machine Job Shops?

A:
There are four aspects that make John J. Steuby Co.
       unique.
       1.  We have been in the Screw Machine Job Shop
business for over thirty-five years. We have seen and
manufactured almost every type of part imaginable.
       2.   We have very diverse equipment available to allow
us to manufacture your part in the most economical
             way.
       3.   We have an elaborate in-house training program
(minimum of 80 hours of classes) that all new shop
             employees attend.
      4.   We have the capability of J.I.T. and S.P.C.

Q: Can John J. Steuby Co. run a job as small as 500
      pieces?

A:  Yes!  We have extensive CNC and Tool Room
capabilities set up to handle small runs and prototypes.
We have run quantites ranging from 2 pieces to
       millions of pieces.

Q:  Do you carry any stock items?
A:  Because all of our parts are custom manufactured from
your blueprints, we do not carry stock items.   If you do
not have blueprints, supply us with a sample part and
we will create blueprints for you!

Q:  What is your lead-time?
A:   Our standard lead-time is generally four weeks from
receipt of order. However, if the job requires extensive
tooling or unusual material it may take longer.  If the job
is a rush, we can make accomodations to fit your
schedule.  You will be advised of delivery time when
       your order is processed.

Q:

How do you maintain the consistent high quality of your products?
A: Each customer order is reviewed for quality concerns, and we generate a quality plan for that part. Our aim is to ensure the quality of the part reflects your needs.

Quality Control is a primary focus at John J. Steuby Co.
We are working to obtain our ISO9002
certification in the year 2000.
