PLASTIC INJECTION MOLDING
The principal advantage of injection molding is the ability to scale production en masse. Once the initial costs have been paid the price per unit during injection molded manufacturing is extremely low. Material for the part is fed into a heated barrel, mixed (Using a helical shaped screw), and injected (Forced) into a mold cavity, where it cools and hardens to the configuration of the cavity.
